Ruben Pena
Senior Project Manager
A member of the Custodio Consulting team since 2008, Ruben Pena offers more than 25 years of industry experience. He currently holds a position as lead project manager for multiple multi-million-dollar retail, office and residential construction projects, providing consulting services to clients starting from lease negotiations to completion of project. He collaborates with developers, property managers, engineers, architects, special inspections agencies and contractors to obtain approvals, permits, letters of completion and certificates of occupancy and has an expertise in dealing with numerous city agencies, including DOB, FDNY, BSA, CPC, DEP and EPA. Additionally he has in depth knowledge of previous and current Building Codes; including Mechanical, Plumbing, Fuel and Gas Codes; 2016 NYC Fire Code; NFPA 13-2007; 2020 NYCECC and NYC Zoning Resolution.
Ruben also performs special inspection duties of a Supplemental Inspector as authorized under appending A of Rule 1 RCNY 101-06 and reviews architectural and MEP design drawings for code and zoning compliance. Mr. Pena holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical-Mechanical Engineering from the New York City College of Technology.
